The Procurement Specialist will work as a member of the Global Sourcing team to source, seek and deliver goods and services at the best cost. The incumbent will also be responsible for the execution and delivery of goods and services to meet the company’s operational and organizational requirement, as well as for entering and tracking Contracts and Purchase Requisitions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Government contracting and change management experience a plus; engineering knowledge of train/transit construction/manufacturing/assembling a plus.
Relevant experience in a previous role, within the manufacturing industry. Understanding of railroad/transit railcar manufacturing and assembly, or related field a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers; excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
Excellent systems aptitude (ProLog, SAP experience a plus).
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
